What is a builder?

A builder is a person who has access to RoadmapHero and possesses one or more tasks. Builders are the pillars of your projects, bringing their expertise to efficiently advance your roadmap.

How to create a builder?

Go to your profile, then click on Settings, click on Invite member, and provide the following information:

• User's email: they will receive an invitation at this address that they must accept
• User's first and last name
• The team(s) associated with the user
• The product(s) the user works on

You will then be prompted to indicate that you want to create a builder. Provide the following additional information:

• Operational start date: the date from which the builder will be operational in your projects.
• End date: if known, specify the end date, for example, in the case of a freelancer.

Then select all the tasks that this builder possesses from those you previously created. Once all the information is provided, all you need to do is send the invitation. Welcome the new team member!

How to assign tasks to an existing builder?

To add or modify the tasks of an existing builder, go to your profile and access Settings. Then, go to the Members section to view the list of builders. Select the builder you want to update. Once on the builder's profile, you can adjust their tasks according to their current role and your team's needs. This update ensures that each team member is well-aligned with the project's goals and has the necessary tasks to contribute effectively.

Why specify my unavailabilities?

Specifying your unavailabilities allows RoadmapHero to optimize the prioritization of your roadmap by considering your current organization. This includes your working days, the duration of your sprints, and their start day. With this information, RoadmapHero can adjust priorities and deadlines based on your team's actual availability.

How to edit a builder?

To edit a builder, go to Settings, then to the Members section, and modify the desired member as you wish. You can adjust their tasks, team affiliation, and more.
